Ireland Given A “Reprieve” By EU Over Lisbon.

June 20, 2008 · 1 Comment

Ireland has been given untill October to decide what it is to do about the Lisbon Treaty “No” vote. The word being used is “reprieve”, which is interesting because this is usually used in the context of someone who is about to be executed. What exactly is “Plan B” then? Is this a clue as to why the Yes camp seemed so desparate? Rather them than me.

Ireland to get until October to find solution to EU treaty impasse

So how do you exactly kill this treaty? A steak through the heart? A silver bullet?

All our trust must be in Christ.

“Roses” by Michael Walsh: Ireland Must Vote NO to Lisbon.

June 11, 2008 · 1 Comment

Roses of evening — O loveliest of roses
Falling in music as the night came down –
To me the most familiar sound of childhood,
My mother praying on her beads of brown.

Evenings at home — O evenings long remembered !
Sunset on the meadows — moonrise on the snows,
Be it June or December — twilights that descended
To low soft music of a falling rose !

Of all the memories of a quiet valley
That haunt me, haunt me in this dusty town,
But one remains — the loveliest and the sweetest –
My mother praying on her beads of brown !

People Around Europe Are Depending On Ireland To Vote “NO”

June 10, 2008 · 1 Comment

I have pasted HERE the link to a website set up to encourage the Irish to vote NO.  Some of the comments are very moving and show that the Irish are truly privileged to have a vote at all because we have a strong Constitution!

Enda Kennys Office Resorts To Misinformation About Popes View on Lisbon Treaty.

June 10, 2008 · 2 Comments

In a series of e mails sent by this site to the office of Enda Kenny the following statement was made by Mr Duffy, perporting to speak on behald of Mr Kenny;

“The situation regarding the unborn in EU law is clear and unambiguous. The EU cannot take a stance on the issue, therefore Irish constitutional law on the issue cannot be changed, as indeed the Catholic hierarchy has confirmed from its own legal advice. Had the treaty facilitated abortion, the Catholic Church throughout Europe would have come out against the treaty. In every state it is either neutral leaning towards the treaty, or explicitly pro-treaty. Pope Benedict XVI has dismissed claims on abortion made by some anti-treaty groups. The Holy See has made it unambiguously clear that the treaty does not in any way change the Union’s stance on abortion, and cannot do so.

Regards,

Jim Duffy
Policy Officer for Justice,
Defence & Foreign Affairs
Office of the Leader of Fine Gael

Hidden Ireland cannot find anywhere that the Pope has said this. When Jim Duffy was asked for an authority for the Popes alledged comment he failed to reply. As did Mr Kenny and Mr Bruton, who were all contacted regarding this.

Why would Mr Kennys office say this if it isnt true? Perhaps in order to disentangle themselves from difficult questions regarding the status of the Unborn Child under the Lisbon Treaty. After all, the simpletons who are concerned with the Unborn Child are just daft Catholics right, who will believe anything, especially if it might have come from the Pope…………

Think again Mr Duffy et al.

We might be Catholics but we are not stupid. In fact quite the opposite, we actually have the sense and reason our Faith gives us, something which modern Fine Gael cannot comprehend.

How shamefull of you, what would our contstitutional founders have said to such shenanigans.

Pro Abortion Lawyers Say “Vote Yes”. Anti Abortion Lawyers Say “Vote No” To Lisbon.

June 9, 2008 · 1 Comment

An interesting juxtaposition arises looking at different points of view on the Lisbon Treaty.

Pro Abortion activist and Senator, Ivana Bacik, says she will vote YES to Lisbon. She is concerned that it may not be “sexy” (sic) to vote yes but she will press on anyway, and says that

“From a certain particularly fervent section of the ‘No’ camp, we even hear outright lies: ‘it will bring in abortion and euthanasia’ .. and so on.”

So its funny then that as the founder of “Safe and Legal in Ireland” a pro abortion group linked with all the major pro aborts in Britain, she says that the Lisbon Treaty will not mean abortion, and then votes for it! What about womens rights Ivana!! HMMMMM.

But in an obvious admission at the end of her comment on Lisbon she states:

“Adoption of the Charter would enable development of greater social protections for citizens – and would move us towards the left-wing vision of a ‘social EuropeIvana Bacik

On the other hand the Association of Catholic Lawyers of Ireland advocate a NO vote.

They say,

“Put simply, the Irish Government have only sought to protect half of the protection which our Unborn Children rely on. It has neglected the protection of our Criminal Law which in practice prevents abortion.”

and also

“The Lisbon Treaty is riddled with problems on many issues, not least abortion, regarding which the above point is just one example. Further, what think those who would vote “Yes” of their brothers in the North of Ireland? If you regard the EU dangerous enough to require at least the partial protection you have sought for the Unborn Child in the Republic, do you intend then to throw the children of the North to the wolves and expect that this will not affect the whole country?

The Citizens of the North of Ireland, along with the Citizens of the rest of Europe have been denied a vote on this matter. Irish people must consider this, and realise that if they vote “yes” they will be speaking for millions of people without voices, and ironically, if they vote “yes” and undermine the Irish Constitution, which gave them this sole opportunity, they may never vote again on their own future.” ACLI

So, I think its a NO vote folks!

St Simon of Trent, Pray for us. The child neither heard nor seen by Vatican II.

June 9, 2008 · 5 Comments

St Simon Of Trent

Little St Simon of Trent was mercilessly martyred in the 15th century in Italy by Ashkanazi Jews.

“This two-year old child from the Italian town of Trent was kidnapped by a few Ashkenazi Jews from his home on the eve of Passover 1475 AD.  At night, the kidnappers murdered the child; drew his blood, pierced his flesh with needles, crucified him head down calling “So may all Christians by land and sea perish”, and thus they celebrated their Passover, an archaic ritual of outpouring blood and killed babies, in the most literal form, without usual metaphoric “blood-wine” shift.”

During Vatican II:

“the Church leaders had found the Jews free from guilt for Crucifixion of Christ while admitting the Church’s guilt for persecution of Jews; the crucifixion of an Italian baby was a small matter compared with this reversal. In a hasty decision, the bishops ruled that the confessions of the killers were unacceptable because obtained under torture, and thus the accused were innocent, while the young martyr was anything but. His cult was discontinued and forbidden, and the remains of the martyred child were removed and dumped in a secret place to avoid resumption of pilgrimage.”

God forgive them for this terrible thing. May we do all we can to honour little St Simon of Trent and revive his cult!

St Simon of Trent Pray For Us.

Vatican Denounces Medjugorie as “Work of the Devil”.

Vatican denounces group’s claim of seeing the Virgin Mary more than 40,000 times as ‘work of the devil’

By Daily Mail Reporter

The Vatican has denounced a group who claim to have seen the Virgin Mary more than 40,000 times in the past 27 years.

The six Bosnian ’seers’ attract five million pilgrims a year to their home town of Medjugorje, providing a lucrative trade for local businesses.

Hundreds of thousands travel there each year from Britain alone.

The Virgin Mary

The Vatican has rejected claims made by the six Bosnian ’seers’ that they have seen the Virgin Mary more than 40,000 times over the past 27 years

But now one of the most respected voices in the Roman Catholic church has accused the visionaries of perpetuating a ‘diabolical deceit’.

Andrea Gemma, 77, a bishop and once the Vatican’s top exorcist, told a magazine in Italy: ‘In Medjugorje everything happens in function of money: Pilgrimages, lodging houses, sale of trinkets.

‘This whole sham is the work of the Devil. It is a scandal.’ He said the Vatican would soon crack down on the group.

The Medjugorje phenomenon began on June 25, 1981, when six children told a priest they had seen the Virgin on a hillside near their town.

A church investigation dismissed the vision, and the Vatican banned pilgrimages to the site in 1985. But many Catholics ignored the ban.

Today, the seers own smart houses with security gates and tennis courts and expensive cars. One is married to a former U.S. beauty queen.

Catholic officials in the U.S. have recently banned the group from speaking on church property during their world tours, on which they allegedly take the Virgin with them

Also the following quote was attributed to Bishop Gemma “You’ll see that soon the Vatican will intervene with something explosive to unmask once and for all who is behind this deceit,” the 77-year-old bishop told Petrus, an online Italian Catholic journal.

No Vote Surges Ahead According To Poll.

June 6, 2008 · 2 Comments

RTE reports here that according to the latest poll those indicating that they will vote NO at the impending referendum are increasing in umber, whist the YES vote is declining.

Be wary though, this is Rado Trash Eire we are talking about. Now is not a time for complacency, especially with Sinn Fein touting the view that this means the Irish want a “better deal”. No, Mary Lou, we just dont want the “Deal” full stop. Get it?

Ian O’Doherty: another little press puppet speaks. O hear Ye….etc

June 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

O’Doherty, in the Irish Independant (2nd June), follows on the menial tradition of trying to belittle everyone who happens to have a view which contradicts the “accepted norm”. As we have come to expect from such erudite writers, he can only snarl vulger insults at the latest victim of this particular BBC Radio 1 style of journo attack, Jim Corr.

Corr had the audacity to speak frankly on his views whilst being interviewed for the Last Word. Well, that’ll teach ‘im O’Doherty! I’m sure he’s reeling from the wittily constructed, subtle, yet devestating article wherein phrases like “The ugly one from the Corrs has always looked like a bit of a mental vacuum…” abound. Grammar and style never stand in the way of ahem “writers” like O’Doherty!

Funnily O’Doherty asks “…who the hell made The Corrs sucessfull? The Bilderbergs?”

Well O’Doherty, what’s the point in asking us when you could just ask your editor?

Corrs interview is below. Well worth a listen.

John Drennan of The Irish Independant shows Anti Catholic Bias in Pro Lisbon Comment.

June 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Drennan, perporting to give a breakdown of the No and Yes sides of the Lisbon Treaty row, collapses into blatant sectarianism at the end of his drivelling piece.

Blurts Drennan:

“Ultimately, as with divorce in 1995, a tight race could be defined by something as peripheral as the weather, where a rainy day could see the Yes side’s nightmare of Mass-going, mantilla-wearing old dears providing us with a new EU fright night.

Dear me, now, but wouldn’t that be dreadful.”

Well, I can think of worse things, like being governed by Freemasonry and having nothing but the banal efforts of Drennan to read…………………
