Eugenic Abortion in Spain on the way to making Downs Syndrome Children extinct- Is this the is the ambition of the Department of Health in the North of Ireland?

March 31, 2008 · 14 Comments

Whilst Government pretends to care about the treatment of disabled people, secretly in the North of Ireland, disabled children are being screened out of existance. Or at lest that is presumably the hope of those who support the scandalous practice of illegal eugenic abortion in the North of Ireland. See this previous story for details…….

What can happen is unfolding is Spain, that previous stronghold of Catholisism and moral values, now a Socialist cess pit and a free for all abortion haven. The number of children born with Downs Syndrome has halved due to eugenic abortion. How long before these happy faces are a thing of the past, murdered before birth, due to the callous search for perfection amongst the puritanical abortion fanatics?

In recent statements, Cruz said, “Many of these children who would make their families happy have been forgotten and left among the 1.1 million fetuses killed in Spain since 1985 when abortion was partially legalized.” Catholic News Agency

It’s not really eugenics. The parents are agreed, so absolutely nobodies freedom has been comprised like it would have been in the eugenics of old (with forced sterilization of the disabled). Although perhaps you could say that the embryo or foetus had its freedom comprised, but it doesn’t exactly have any opinion yet, so at least it can’t be against its will.

It is possible you don’t actually know what the word “eugenic” means so I have copied the Oxford dictionary definition here:

Eugenics (n) the science of improving the population by controlled breeding for desirable inherited characteristics. Eugenic (adj)

I have also sourced the etymological definition for you:

1883, coined by Eng. scientist Francis Galton (1822-1911) on analogy of ethics, physics, etc. from Gk. eugenes “well-born, of good stock,” from eu- “good” + genos “birth” (see genus).

“The investigation of human eugenics, that is, of the conditions under which men of a high type are produced.” [Galton, "Human Faculty," 1883]

“Eugenics (n) the science of improving the population by controlled breeding for desirable inherited characteristics.”

There is no control over breeding in this case. Those doing the breeding (the parents) have full freedom to choose an abortion.

Those doing the breeding, the parents, are inflicting their “choice” on the child who is killed due to its physical defeciency.

A more perfect example of eugenics is hard to imagine. The philosophy of elimination of disability so honed that the very parents of a child will kill him if he is not good enough for them. The population are controlling their own breeding, assisted by the government, and are following a eugenic philosophy.

In the stories I have covered the term “Eugenic abortion” is used by the abortionists themselves. See Breedagh Hughes in her article in The Times etc.

You also suppose that both parents agree, would it be eugenics if one did not?

You also presume that if the subject has no will that their elimination or subjection is acceptable.
Do you extend this to the mentally ill and minors?

Finally, eugenics and abortion are the products of a sick mind and fly in the face of Gods law and are therefore illicit.

This is essentially the same question as whether a husband can secretly slip his partner contraceptives to prevent a pregnancy, or whether a woman can take them without her husband being told. Which parent should have control over reproduction? To that, I don’t know, but I’d guess the mother has more claim to such control.

You also presume that if the subject has no will that their elimination or subjection is acceptable. Do you extend this to the mentally ill and minors?
That depends on their mental faculties. I believe a life should be protected only if that being wants it to be protected. Animals, infants and some mentally-disabled individuals do not have the ability to yet comprehend and value their own life, and so I do not think their death or subjection (if pain-free) is wrong.

Finally, eugenics and abortion are the products of a sick mind and fly in the face of Gods law and are therefore illicit.

    Prove it.

    This is disgusting.

    Prove it.

Don’t worry, you will have your proof when you appear before the court of Christ The King.

However in charity I would have to say that you should seriously attempt to ammend your perverse views and accept Christ and His Catholic Church.

Heaven and Hell are for eternity, Hell is really Hell. Dont go there.

For somewhere to start, pray the Rosary.

Regardless, most of us live in a secular democracy. The democracy part means that we should not make things illegal when a significant proportion of the population doesn’t see a problem with it. The secular part means that we shouldn’t make things illegal just because they are against religious teachings.

I live in a country where abortion is illegal because the majority of the population accept the fifth commandment, as did those who drafted the laws punishing all forms of homocide.

Therefore the killing of Unborn Children due to disability which seems to be going on here is a crime.

The democratically elected devolved government we have here voted aginst abortion last October. However the British government is threatening to overrule them and impose abortion on us regardless of the peoples view. So much for democracy.

Ultimately, no government has the power to overrule the law of God and if it does so it is an abuse.

Your form of secular govenment = mob rule.

Give me a Saintly King any day.

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” – Romans 13:1-2

“Pilate then said: “Do you not answer? Do you not know that I have the power to free you and the power to crucify you?” Jesus answered: “You would have no power over me if it had not been given to you from above; for this reason those who have delivered me to you have the greater sin.” (Jn. 19:10-11)

    The greater sin….

Therefore a legitimate power can act in an illicit manner.

Also the ten commandments and the teachings of the Catholic Church (the one true faith) apply to all men.

The four sins crying out to Heaven for vengeance are:
    Murder,
    Sodomy,
Depriving a labourer of his wages and Oppression of the poor.
(The Catechism of the Catholic Church)

No matter what imperfections, a baby has they, are all and still, children of God. We have a duty,
and a responsibility, to care for their needs. I can’t believe, what is happening, on this earth.

In Gods creation, he created them perfect. We can’t grasp the mystery, of God. Though they seem imperfect, they are perfect, in Gods eyes. God created them all, to show this universe, his creation. We are being put through a test, this is my belief. Science have not the capability, what God can create, or the mystery, of what God can do.
    God Bless You

But on the other hand i know equally well that charity easily leads us to believe all that is not contrary to faith or morals: ” Charity… believeth all things;” in the same way pride induces us to doubt even well authenticated stories on the plea that they are not to be found in the Bible. This is one of the devils traaps; heretics of the past who denied Tradition have fallen into it and over-critical people of today are falling into it too without realizing it. People of this kindr refuse to believe what they do not understand or what is not to their liking, simply because of their own spirit of pride and independence.
