The nails were hammered thru the palms of the hands and the wrists were tied to the cross to support the weight of the body.
If He had been nailed to the cross at the wrists all the stigmatists would have wounds on their wrists.
actually, due to gravity, most of the weight is held by the nails in the feet. The nails in the palms were probably to keep the body centered and upright. also keep in mind that the knees were bent so that the hips also gave support! claiming the nails were not in the palms is basically calling God a liar!!!!!!!!!
Romans are known to have nailed through the wrist, between the radius and ulna. If the nail was through the hand, crucified prisoners could easily tear themselves free and escape. The traditional depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ has shown the spikes driven through the hands. These images are what a Stigmatists have in mind when they sympathize so profoundly with Jesus. If they conceived that the wound of Christ was through the shoulder or forearm, their wound would appear there.
When Christ appeared to his fellow disciples after the crucifiction, they asked him to prove that he was the Christ they know, So He showed them his scares and part of that mentioned in the bible was the hand which refers to the Palm.
No point in debating all this .. how ever the main point is that you Believe in it .
It is really pointless debating all this after 2000 yrs wether it be the wrist or palm Christ has died and Christ has risin .
So Go and spread the Good news.
Whether Romans were known to have driven the nails through the wrists is irrelevant. CHRIST was crucified through his hands. This is how the scriptures describe it, and it is proved with the stigmata.
It doesn’t matter how the other victims of Rome were crucified, what matters here is the way in which Christ was crucified, which was through his hands. The Bible needn’t mention ropes in order for it to be true.
Perhaps driving the nails through the wrists is more painful than through the hands, and the executioners felt compelled to drive the nails through the hands to help keep the body stable, and ties the wrists to the cross in order to hold it up.
Regardless of why Christ was crucified with nails through his hands instead of his wrist, the stigmata proves that such is the case.
These are all, the “MysteriesOf God”, he’s
showing many, for his own reasons, where is “The True Church” which is “The Roman Catholic Church”. These are one, of “The Greatest Mysteries Of God”. Now again “Jesus Christ” is being “Crucified” all over again.
this is a truely amazing thing, that clearly only happens to thoses that are compleatly devoted to god. the stigmata which i have been reseaching for months now is still a mystery to doctors and science this is an amazing thing that some one can believe so much that he/she begains to suffer the way he did !!
This is the last portrait of the Madonna and Child acomplished by Bellini. This subject was his particular favourite as can be seen in the tenderness apparent from the painting.

How is it that the wound is through the palm of the hand? When it has been proven that the body cant sustain the weight.

How do you know the wound is through the palm of the hand?
Anyway, what is your point?

I’m interested in where you got your picture from as the Fatima Crusader doesn’t have a picture to go with their article?

Does stigmata usually occur once your born or could it happen in any moment in your life?
